Julie Fields, teaching in-studio private sessions.

Julie Fields began her Pilates practice in 2000 and soon realized that Pilates was exactly what her body needed to finally feel both strong and balanced. In 2007 she expanded her interest by completing a certification program through PhysicalMind Institute. At that time Julie was working in the public sector and teaching a few classes during the evenings and on weekends. Knowing she wanted to teach Pilates as her “act two career” Julie completed a second teacher training program to expand her understanding of the Pilates method with an emphasis on physical rehabilitation.  In 2014 she completed Aston Kinetics foundation classes which provided skills in observing and assessing body movement patterns.  Julie is passionate about helping clients find their best body for function and fitness and thinks Pilates is a smart way for achieving physical mobility and stability.  Her goal is to guide clients to move better not only during asession but throughout their day-to-day activities.

Sarah Carrasco, owner. Teaching private and duet pilates sessions, mat class and Kane School Teacher Trainer

Born and raised in Fort Worth, I was drawn to movement from a young age through dance. I loved the outlet of dance, studying technique, the practice of dancing regularly and experiencing my body’s transformation into strength and better movement. I was introduced to Pilates in college and realized that with one class a week, my dancing improved immensely. Mystified by this experience, I knew that I would one day become a teacher.

I earned a degree in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. After college, I moved to New York City to pursue a career in dance & musical theatre. In 2007 I got certified to teach Pilates through the Kane School of Core Integration with Kelly Kane. At the Kane School, the emphasis of our studies was on anatomy, biomechanics, and working with special populations & injuries. It was here that I learned how powerful Pilates can be as a healing modality. Soon after graduating from the Kane School, I became an expert instructor and a teacher trainer in the comprehensive mat & basic training programs. I taught Pilates in New York City and in Kauai, where I owned & operated a Pilates studio and now I love living in Austin and running the studio here in Brentwood.

Having dealt with multiple injuries, including a hip labral tear and subsequent surgery, plus being a thyroid cancer survivor and all that goes along with living without a thyroid, I use my experiences to help clients and tailor sessions directly to the needs of the person in front of me in the moment.

I enjoy spending time with my family, tap dancing, hiking, long walks, exploring Austin and building Lego® with my family.

Meet The Renters

Renters are Certified Pilates Teachers, who like to remain independent and rent the space to see clients. They handle their own scheduling and have their own pricing. All Renters are long-time teachers and are highly skilled. Reach out to them directly for more information.

Cassie’s movement journey began with t-ball at age 6 and her first ballet class at age 9.

During her BFA study and professional dance career in NYC, Cassie encountered multiple ankle sprains, and a compression fracture. These setbacks built her resilience, patience, and persistence.

Fueled by her own injury recoveries and a desire to better assist others like her, Cassie became an eternal student, and self-proclaimed anatomy-nerd. In addition to her certifications in Barre, Pilates, & Yoga she holds specialties in Functional Anatomy, Cancer Exercise, Pre-natal Pilates, Adaptive Dance, and completed training through The Harkness Center for Dance Injuries.

Cassie’s teaching style is compassionate, nurturing, thoughtful, and light-hearted. She deeply delights in her connections with clients, colleagues, and the opportunity to do good in the world.

Outside of teaching, she’s “Aunt Cass” to two amazing nieces, a member of the Dr. Brenè Brown Ultimate Fan Club, a forever show-choir kid, volunteer, and daydreamer.

After nearly 10 years of teaching in New York City, Jordan is excited to bring her expertise and love of movement to Austin!

She studied extensively with Marimba Gold-Watts and Lesley Powell and received her Mat Certification from the Kane School of Integration and her Comprehensive Certification through Balanced Body. Jordan specializes in hip function, posture, hyper-mobility and injury recovery and programs every session to the needs of the client in front of her.

As a professional dancer, Jordan has worked with renowned companies and choreographers such as the New York City Ballet, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Ballet Vero Beach, Gabrielle Lamb, Caili Quan and many more.
